Welcome to the Y3CS Page!
Our current topic is: Roaming Romans - What did the Romans do for us?
Please look below to see some of the amazing things we have been up to!
Since Christmas we have been developing our knowledge of Multiplication and Division, Money, Measurement - Length and Perimeter, Statistics and Fractions through a wide range of fluency, reasoning and problem solving activities:
As part of our topic, we are exploring play scripts, dialogue and letters. We have used the short clips: Dun Spiro and Veni, Vidi, Vici as stimulus for our writing.
So far we have created a play script about Veni, Vidi, Vici, we have created a short story using Dun Spiro and we have drafted and written both formal and informal letters about Roman activities.
Other Curriculum Areas:
Throughout our topic we are learning about lots of exciting things to do with the Romans. We have learned about Roman life, Italy as well as visiting Segedunum Roman Fort.
In Geography, we have learned about Italy.
In Computing, we have been using scratch to create animations and we have also created databases using a variety of software.
In French, we have been learning about routine.
In PE we have been developing our invasion game skills with Robbie a coach from NUF and we have been exploring movement in Dance.
