Coronavirus - Advice and Guidance

FRIDAY 20th MARCH 2020 - UPDATE

Late last night the Government release their list of 'Key Workers' in the fight against Coronavirus. Please see the attached letter (above) and contact school today by 2pm if you think this relates to you and your child/ren. Thank you .

THURSDAY 19th MARCH 2020 - UPDATE

Following the Prime Ministers announcement last night, all schools in England will close to most pupils, with the final school day being Friday 20th March 2020. Some pupils are still allowed to attend school and these children are:

  • Children of 'Key Workers' (we await an update on this list today and will share with you as soon as it is made available.)
  • Children with EHCPs
  • Children with assigned Social Workers

For these children only, school will be open as normal from 8.50am, with breakfast club available as usual for those who use it. School will be open until 3.15pm, as usual.

Above, are 2 letters which are also being issued hard copy and parentmail.

MONDAY 16th MARCH 2020 - UPDATE

The press conference from our Prime Minister late yesterday afternoon has made the following points very clear:

- Schools will remain open for now. Please read the attached letter  for details on how our school is currently responding to developments.

- The government is now recommending 'whole household'  isolation for 14 days should any member of the family have a high temperature or a new and persistent cough.

The situation is highly dynamic and official advice is changing, sometimes quite rapidly, while responding to the unprecedented situation and with the scientific advice being given at the time. The school and governors are keeping a close watch over the emerging situation, speaking regularly and will continue to seek advice and guidance from the relevant authorities, informing parents and the school community as much as possible when changes occur.
