Year 5 CS

Welcome to Y5CS!

This term, we are 'Comparing People and Places!' We will be locating regions and cities in Europe, North and South America. We will also be researching capital cities, comparing different cultures,  studying the Earth's horizontal and vertical lines and comparing human and physical geography features of 3 areas.

Mapping the World Knowledge Organiser:

Since the beginning of the year we have been developing our knowledge of Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction, Statistics, Place Value and Fractions. We have learned these strategies using a Mastery approach exploring problems working both independently and with peers.

The Terrifying Tudors!

In the Autumn half term, we studied a History topic all about Tudor England. We stepped back in time to research the various monarchs and created fact files for each one. We finished our topic by creating 'Top Trump' cards to compare the monarchs and decide which one we think is the most terrifying.
