Young Sports Leaders
Our 'Young Sports Leaders' are chosen from Year 5 and 6 pupils who apply for this responsibility. They have to complete an application form stating why they think they will make good YSLs. They need to think about what qualities and skills they have which would make them good role models for our younger pupils.
Once chosen, our YSLs receive training from North Tyneside P.E. and Sport team and our school staff, who teach them a range of games and activities to play with our younger pupils at break times. They then form teams so we have YSLs on our yards each lunchtime to help play with our Early Years and KS1 pupils.
