Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths

STEM Week 2017

13th - 17th February 2017

Year 4

 

One of the activities Year 4 did this week was making a portrait of themselves using recyclable materials which had been brought in from home.

Thank you to the House of Objects who helped to facilitate this.

 

              

 

STEM Week 1st February - 5th February 2016

 

School was buzzing with activity during STEM week!

 

Amberley Primary School children from every year group were extremely busy around school taking part in STEM week.

 

STEM, short for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths is considered crucial subject matter for today's children living and working in a modern world.

 

STEM was a great success for everyone.

 

 

"My Robot is Better Than Your Robot"

The week started with a fantastic Science show run by Technology Tom. The show was interactive and a great way to have fun learning about Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and History.

 

                                    

    

                                    

 

                                    

Year 3 

 

Year 3 were lucky enough to have a visit from 'Beauty by the Geeks.'We used our Maths, DT and Science skills to predict, analyse and observe the different elements which make up Bath Bombs. We made different smelling bath bombs which we then took home to test.
