Our Topic:

Worldwide Weather and Climate

Our topic this term is 'Worldwide Weather and Climate'. This is a Geography based topic. We will be looking at the seasons of the year, the equator, hot and cold countries and designing a weather forecast to inform people of weather around the world.





In Maths, we have focused on securing our place value knowledge and investigating different methods to add and subtract 1 and 2 digit numbers. We have been using a Maths Mastery approach to develop the learning and our problem solving skills. Below are some photos and video examples to show one of the methods we used when adding and subtracting numbers, this method is adding/subtracting using a empty number line.  We are using this a mastery approach in Maths to embed and create more depth to our learning. We have used what we have learnt towards reasoning and problem solving challenges.

In Science, we have been learning all about Plants. We have looked at how to grow plants and what plants need to survive and grow.


In PE, we have been working on our Gymnastics and Basketball skills.


In RE, we have learning about Christianity.


In Computing, we have studied how computers working looking at computational thinking and starting to develop code to complete a goal.
