In English this half term we have been learning how to write a character description of 'The Gruffalo'. Throughout this half term we have focused on gathering a bank of adjectives to describe The Gruffalo, writing simple sentences using Phonics knowledge to segment and spell words, understanding and using simple punctuation and reading our sentences back to ensure they make sense. 

In Maths this half term the children have compared and measured mass, weight, length, height, capacity and volume using practical objects and equipment. They have enjoyed comparing numbers and groups of objects using the inequality symbols and partitioning whole numbers using the part, part whole model.

In Science the children have worked with Mrs Hurst and Mrs LLoyd. They have enjoyed learning all about the Seasons of the year and seasonal changes in our environment. 

In Computing lessons the children have identified uses of technology in the home and their environment and how to use devices safely.
