In English this half term our focus text is 'I want my hat back' by Jon Klassen. Our main focus is on oral recall and echo reading. This will allow us to hold a sentence in our head before we write it down. We will be learning how to write character descriptions using adjectives. We will be writing simple sentences using Phonics knowledge to segment and spell words, understanding and using simple punctuation and reading our sentences back to ensure they make sense. 

In Maths this half term the children will compare and measure mass, weight, length, height, capacity and volume using practical objects and equipment. They will enjoy comparing numbers and groups of objects using the inequality symbols and partitioning whole numbers using the part, part whole model.

In Science the children have will learn about the seasons. They will investigate the seasonal changes in our environment. They will learn the months of the year and their corresponding season. 

In Computing lessons the children will identify uses of technology in the home and their environment and how to use devices safely.
